Check out the trailer for THE THERAPIST. This is a new series that I am in. I play the role of Xenia. Xenia is a girl with a good heart but most people do not get the opportunity to see this. She is an interesting character with a story that many do not know and causes her to behave the way that she does. She wants the good life and when her boyfriend is not getting his act together it leaves her beyond irritated. He sold her a dream and now he is not following through amongst other things. She is growing tired and he loves her so they go to therapy. Dr. Knight played by KJ Smith has the task of not only helping Xenia and Mike played by Hedo Davis but also has the task of helping several other couples that you will see in the series. They all have different issues that span across several issues that many couples face. Check out the trailer and see what it is about or just dive into the series with Episode 1. BLESSINGS TO ALL! SO MUCH GOING ON!

Blessings to everyone! I know I know...

I want to blog all the time but I have been busy as usual fortunately. I really have to set aside some time to do so. It can be a challenge to get on here sometimes. There are some days believe it or not that I do not even get on the computer. This usually happens when I am traveling and focusing on projects but I do post updates about things on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/spiritofoyapage if you want to see quick updates.

It is my plan to share more here and connect with you all visiting my site so I will try to find some time. :) Thanks to all of you that care and have contacted me to ask why I do not blog more about events and post pics etc. I really appreciate that.

I have so much to post and update you on from the new Series I am in called THE THERAPIST and I just got back from Burning Man Decompression to name a a couple of goodies. I plan on doing that over the weekend so I can post the pics and links and tell you a bit more when I have some more time. For now I just want to update you on one cool project that has been released.

It is a project that reminds me of when I was little creating cartoon flip books with my brother. Did anybody draw and do those? Check out Dwen. This guy took his old cartoons from when he was a little boy and created this series. Too awesome! Tim Clark brought me in to sing the catchy DWEN super hero theme song. LOL. "Dwen! He is mighty as the pen." LOL. Cool to be involved with the creative kid spirit. Much success on your project Tim. Bless.

Yooooo hooooo everyone! How is everyone doing? Okey dokey so I am officially wrapped on the new series THE THERAPIST. :) It was a fun time playing the role of Xenia. This character has many layers. At the heart she is a beautiful but you would not know that. She is packed with so much fear and hurt that she is an angry woman on the outside. Every now and again you get to see a glimpse of how sweet she could be but with all of the chaos in her environment she is ready to cut you with her words and actions.

My first announcement is about an episode I just shot of a series called, MAKE LOVE NOT WAR new soap opera/drama . The director is Stephen McClain. Stephen's work is impressive and I am happy to be involved. I just saw all 3 trailers and the show is looking good!

My role is Maria Santelez and I am the girlfriend of an up and coming star linebacker Greg Jefferies (Geno Brooks). Here we are on set as the happy couple in this pic. :)

BIIIIZZZZZY AS A BEE :)

Hello my beautiful people,

How are you all? Happy Spring Time. Ok, I have tried to get going on this blog and create my fan page on facebook however I have been so busy that it really just has not been happening. I truly have not had time to sit down and update. I have been working on a lot of goodies that have been keeping me busy. I am grateful to say I have been booked up with performing, writing, recording and filming. It was a great 2010 and 2011 has started off to be just fantastic.

I look forward to sharing more about all of the projects I am working on but in the meantime I want to thank those of you that have sent emails to check in. It means so much to me to have you want to know how things are going and where you can see me perform next. I appreciate the kind words and support from you all that have contacted me even when I have not posted. You guys help keep me going. THANK YOU! :)

I will keep buzzing around creating and helping to raise the vibration however I am going to really make an effort to blog more often and get my fan facebook page and twitter going.

New Posts For The New Year

Wow, it is March 2, 2010!  How did that happen? LOL.

Well, there has been so many things that have happened from my first post about the Crystal Cathedral to now. Since then I have performed in such wonderful places and have met some fantastic people around the nation. So many things were happening every month I did not get a chance to even post the dates on my calendar. I am very grateful. God is Good. The Universe is Fantastic. Spirit is Powerful. Life is a Gift. :)

We are in the process of updating the website while I am in the studio recording and creating a few different projects . In the meantime I am going to start posting some new and nifty things here and there to keep you updated on the Spirit of Oya news.

DREAMS CAN COME TRUE - OYA AT CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL

Hello beautiful people,

How are you?

Life is good!  I like to keep you all posted on what I am doing out in the world but this post has a greater intention. This is not a post just to tell you about where I performed or where I am performing.

This is a post to encourage you. It is an post about connecting to your heart, setting intentions and following through to allow your dreams to come true. 

Allow me to explain by painting this picture. As a little girl we watched the Crystal Cathedral service on TV EVERY Sunday morning. My parents put this program on faithfully and I would watch all the amazing singers and musicians perform on this program and thought how amazing it would be to sing on that stage one day. Many years past and last year I decided to take my family to see the Glory of Easter. I wanted to see this amazing production everyone had been talking about and finally see this Cathedral up close and personal. 

Glory of Easter was fantastic so I took them back to see the Glory of Christmas. When we went back the second time we took the tour and learned all about the land, buildings, cathedral and artwork there. Now both times it was exciting because I grew up on the Crystal Cathedral. You should have seen me

walking into the venue with the ticket in my hand looking for my seat while doing 360's to admire the beautiful space and all the cute animals that were in the show. As I sat in the chair and watched each show I reflected back on my childhood dream. I started thinking again about how it would be so nifty to sing there. I told my mom I would sing there one day and left it at that.

Today, I post here with a picture below of just that! I was called to sing at the Crystal Cathedral this past weekend for one of the most beautiful services I have ever been a part of. It was for such a genuine and special family. It could not have been for anything better for my first performance there. I thank them for the opportunity. I was so honored to be a part of this special service.

This is a picture of me after I performed and the venue was cleared.  We had to stick around after the performance because we just had to take a picture of this beautiful proof that we were on this stage:). It was awesome. My pianist was so excited too because of all of the amazing pianist that have played on the piano there. :)

I hope you take this post to heart. Know that whatever you really feel in your heart you can do. I really want you to know that if you really have something in your heart and take action steps towards your dreams they can come true :). For some of you the Crystal Cathedral is not a big deal to you and that is fine however it is to me! It was important to me and my pianist. So, I ask you what is your Crystal Cathedral?

If it is to perform somewhere, if it is to develop a project, get your dream job, become a great mother or father, be the best wife or husband, to take a trip you always dreamed of, to heal the relationship with yourself or someone dear to you.... WHATEVER IT IS AND WHATEVER IS IN YOU HEART TO DO...GO FOR IT! :) Set the intention and follow through with action steps that will take you closer for your dream to come true. DREAMS CAN COME TRUE! :)

Live your life purpose, experience joy and peace and allow blessings to come in your life!
